Logo Design Process

My first project with Gechy, Inc. was to help design the company's logo. This involved many stages, from initial sketches with pencil and paper to final improvements in all different colors. Following is a journal of my logo design process.

Sketches

I began by sketching several possible ideas for logos; Giraffes are my favorite animal, so I began with this:

Black and White

I then used Illustrator to start a black and white version of my favorite sketch:

Starting with Color

My friend's black and white verion was chosen in the first round. I started working on some different color skemes for her design.

Final Design

A rainbow color skeme was chosen so, I worked on a new design with the same colors. My design (see below) was chosen to be the final logo
